Don & Megan - Mad Men 6.06 - “For Immediate Release”
Okay, this? This right here? It’s fucking amazing. All Fresh Air interviews are great to listen in on, but I absolutely love this one and will keep it bookmarked for days, weeks, and possibly months to come. Oh, to be inside Matthew Weiner’s mind - this may be the closest any of us get to it.Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner on the symbolism of Don Draper reading Dante’s Inferno at the beginning of Season Six, which takes place in 1968:
This man is in his worst state — the way 1968 is — because it is overrunning his life and it’s page 1 in the story: He’s going into hell. This is the descent. Maybe he’ll come out on the other side, or maybe he’ll just take up residence there.”

Favorite part of the 2 hour long season premiere right here. Let us discuss how Roger Sterling um, DOES NOT AGE AT ALL. Just slap his picture into Webster next to the phrase “silver fox” already. And a minor note in the corner of Michael Ginsberg because I am not a ‘stache girl and I would still hit that.I have no idea if Season 6 will be the best season yet… BUT THE HAIR IS!!!
“We love each other, that’s true whatever it means, but we aren’t good at it; for some it’s a talent, for others only an addiction.”
